We are recruiting a Graduate / Junior Logistics Coordinator for a growing UK food trading and distribution business, working with products sourced from Europe and Ukraine and supplied to customers across the UK.

This is not a role where you'll spend months simply observing. You'll receive the opportunity to learn through real, hands-on logistics operations, working with transport companies, warehouses, customers and colleagues while developing valuable experience across the UK supply chain.

What Will You Be Doing?

Working closely with the wider team, you'll learn how to coordinate the movement of goods from their arrival in the UK through to warehouse operations and final customer delivery.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Organising transport for inbound and outbound deliveries

• Booking warehouse loading and unloading slots

• Arranging deliveries with customers

• Contacting transport providers and comparing transport quotes

• Learning how to negotiate transport rates and manage logistics costs

• Tracking collections and deliveries

• Helping resolve delays, failed collections and other day-to-day logistics challenges

• Communicating with warehouses, hauliers, customers and internal teams

• Checking transport invoices against agreed rates

• Monitoring warehouse inventory and helping investigate stock discrepancies

As your knowledge and confidence grow, you'll be encouraged to take increasing ownership of the logistics process.

Who Are We Looking For?

Previous logistics experience is not essential. Your attitude, organisation and willingness to learn are just as important.

You may be a recent graduate or someone at the very beginning of your career with an interest in logistics, transport, supply chain or international trade.

We'd like you to have:

• A degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or another relevant subject, or a strong interest in developing a career within the industry

• Good spoken and written English

• Good Microsoft Excel skills and general computer confidence

• Strong organisation and attention to detail

• Confidence communicating with different people

• A practical approach to solving problems

• The ability to manage several tasks and deadlines

• A proactive attitude and willingness to learn

Ukrainian language skills would be an advantage but are not essential.
