About The Opportunity

Records and maintains control of all inventory items purchased and produced. Ensures compliance with established internal control procedures.

Essential Job Functions

The following duties are normal for this position.  The incumbent may perform some or all of these duties however; it is not an exclusive or all-inclusive list.  Other duties may be assigned.

 

• Operates powered industrial trucks to load and unload materials and deliveries and move them to and from storage areas, machines and loading docks, into railroad cars or trucks or storage facilities
• Obtains copy of production schedule or shipping order and transports material or equipment to and from designated area in the facility
• Performs transactions in business system(s) to assure accurate tracking of product inventories
• Conducts physical inventory audits, job packet review, cycle counts, damaged material management, and waste tracking and disposal as needed
• Resolves inventory inconsistencies
• Participates in continuous improvement initiatives for inventory management process and information flow
• Prepares required business reports
• The anticipated hourly range for the position is $16.90 - $21.50, depending on experience and qualifications
• This position is also eligible for an annual incentive bonus and benefits package

Education & Experience

• High School Degree or Equivalent preferred
• Some relevant experience required
• Must be able to operate a stand-up forklift

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Knowledge of and ability to use and influence organization's policies, standards and procedures guiding manufacturing processes
• Knowledge of strategies and tools for controlling and optimizing the factors that lie between the purchase of raw materials and delivery of finished products
• Ability to effectively manage the business relationship and transactions with the suppliers of raw materials or product components
• Knowledge of issues and considerations for effectively managing local or distributed inventories of raw materials, work in progress and finished goods
• Knowledge of the processes, tools and operational considerations for effective and efficient movement of goods and materials throughout the manufacturing cycle
• Knowledge of the day-to-day operations of a manufacturing plant or facility

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

• Primarily works in a production and/or warehouse setting with time also spent in an office setting
• Frequent walking and standing required
• Occasional travel required Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.
