Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking an Associate Project Management (Level I) or Project Management (Level 2) to lead and support cross-functional initiatives within the F-35 Program Operations & Integration team.
This role is 100% on-site in Redondo Beach, CA.
This role offers an early-career professional the opportunity to build project management, coordination, and business operations experience while supporting key activities within the F-35 Program Office. The selected individual will work closely with program leadership and cross-functional teams to support day-to-day execution, coordinate initiatives, and contribute to business priorities across the broader F-35 organization. This position provides exposure to a fast-paced, high-visibility environment and is ideal for someone who is organized, proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to learn, collaborate, and grow.
Key responsibilities include:
- Support project planning, execution, and tracking across functions to align with program goals and business priorities.
- Coordinate assigned initiatives, track action items, and maintain communication with internal stakeholders to support timely execution.
- Help maintain organizational rhythm by tracking schedules, deadlines, and deliverables for program and customer commitments.
- Support executive and program reviews through scheduling, agenda development, input collection, and presentation preparation.
- Gather, organize, and summarize data to support decision-making, leadership briefings, and stakeholder communications.
- Contribute to knowledge-sharing and continuous improvement efforts, including SharePoint updates, team engagement activities, and organizational communications.
- Provide general team and business operations support, including cross-functional coordination, process improvement, and administrative support for leadership priorities.
Basic Qualifications (Level 1):
- Must have a Bachelor's Degree OR High School Diploma/Equivalent with 4 years of experience
- Experience must be in the following: Project Management, Business Strategy, Finance, Proposals and/or Capture Efforts, Resource Planning, Accounting, Program Management, Program Scheduling, Program Cost Analysis, Subcontracts Administration, Procurement, Business Management, or Contracts
- Experience in Microsoft Office
Basic Qualifications(Level 2):
- Must have a Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of experience, Master's Degree OR High School Diploma/Equivalent with 6 years of experience
- Experience must be in the following: Project Management, Business Strategy, Finance, Proposals and/or Capture Efforts, Resource Planning, Accounting, Program Management, Program Scheduling, Program Cost Analysis, Subcontracts Administration, Procurement, Business Management, or Contracts
- Experience in Microsoft Office
Preferred Qualifications:
- Aerospace/defense experience
- Supply chain, financial management, business strategy and/or contracts experience in aerospace/defense
- Familiarity with the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter Program
- MS Excel Experience
- Control Account Management (CAM) experience
Primary Level Salary Range: $63,000.00 - $94,600.00
Secondary Level Salary Range: $75,800.00 - $113,800.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
