St Vincent's Private Hospital Kew is seeking an experienced and motivated Registered Nurse to join our dedicated Anaesthetics and Post Anaesthetic Care Unit (PACU) team on a 12-month fixed term full time contract.

Located in Melbourne's eastern suburbs, St Vincent's Private Hospital Kew is a specialist surgical facility providing high-quality care across a range of specialties including:

• Orthopaedics
• Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery
• Ophthalmology

With 5 operating theatres and a strong patient centred focus, our perioperative team is committed to clinical excellence, safety, and outstanding patient outcomes.

About the Role

As a valued member of our Anaesthetics and PACU team, you will be responsible for delivering safe, evidence-based care throughout the perioperative journey. Working collaboratively with anaesthetists, surgeons and multidisciplinary team members, you will contribute to a positive patient experience while maintaining the highest standards of clinical practice.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1).
• Minimum 2 years experience in Anaesthetics and Post Anaesthetic Care Unit (PACU) nursing.
• Demonstrated ability to provide safe, high quality patient care within a busy perioperative environment.
• Sound knowledge and application of ANZCA, ACORN, and NSQHS standards.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills.
• Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to effectively prioritise competing demands.
• The ability to work both autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary perioperative team.
• Flexibility to work varying days and hours in line with operational requirements and participate in a rotating roster.
• A commitment to continuous improvement and evidence-based practice.

Desirable:

• Postgraduate qualification in Anaesthetics and Recovery Nursing.
