Description
PRIMEdge, Inc.
Elk Grove Village, IL
Full-Time
Salary: $60,000–$70,000, depending on experience
PRIMEdge is looking for a hands-on Marketing & Graphic Design Coordinator who can help elevate how our brand is presented across digital, print, social media, trade shows, advertising, and sales materials.
This is not a marketing role where graphic design is an occasional responsibility. We are looking for someone with strong creative instincts and design ability who can take an idea, understand the objective, and turn it into polished, professional marketing material without needing constant direction.
The right person will be creative, resourceful, comfortable working independently, and excited about using modern technology — including AI tools — to produce better work faster.
PRIMEdge is a fourth-generation, family-owned company serving the global food processing industry with industrial blades, sharpening systems, edge maintenance tools, and related cutting solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design marketing materials for digital and print, including advertisements, brochures, catalogs, flyers, presentations, banners, trade-show graphics, email campaigns, and sales collateral.
- Create compelling graphics and content for LinkedIn and other digital channels.
- Develop creative concepts for product launches, advertising campaigns, trade shows, and other marketing initiatives.
- Maintain and strengthen consistency across PRIMEdge branding and marketing materials.
- Assist with website content, graphics, landing pages, product pages, and ongoing website updates.
- Work closely with sales, engineering, management, and outside partners to turn technical information into clear and visually compelling marketing content.
- Coordinate marketing projects with outside agencies, printers, photographers, videographers, exhibit companies, and other vendors.
- Support trade shows and industry events, including booth graphics, promotional materials, presentations, signage, and pre-show/post-show marketing.
- Create and edit basic photography and video content for products, demonstrations, social media, and other marketing uses.
- Help manage marketing calendars, campaigns, deadlines, and deliverables.
- Proactively bring new ideas to the company rather than waiting for detailed creative direction.
What We’re Looking For
- Approximately 2–5 years of experience in graphic design, marketing, branding, or a related role.
- Strong graphic design portfolio demonstrating modern, professional work.
- Strong visual judgment, typography, layout, and branding skills.
- Ability to take a loosely defined idea and develop multiple creative concepts.
- Ability to receive feedback and quickly translate it into stronger work.
- Comfortable managing multiple projects and deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good written communication skills.
- Self-starter who takes ownership of projects and follows through.
- Comfortable working in a technical, manufacturing, or B2B environment.
- Willingness to learn our products and industry rather than treating marketing as purely a creative exercise.
Experience in industrial, manufacturing, food processing, packaging, or other B2B marketing is helpful but not required.
Portfolio Requirement
A portfolio is required to be considered for this position.
We care more about the quality of your work than the number of years on your résumé.
Please include examples of work such as:
- Advertising
- Social media graphics
- Brochures or catalogs
- Trade-show or environmental graphics
- Digital marketing
- Branding
- Website graphics
- Presentations
- Photography or video, if applicable
We are particularly interested in seeing work that demonstrates your ability to take technical or industrial subject matter and make it visually interesting, modern, and easy to understand.
What Success Looks Like
The person in this role should eventually be able to receive an objective such as:
“Create a campaign promoting our packaging blades for PACK EXPO.”
…and independently come back with several strong concepts, messaging ideas, graphics, and recommended executions.
We are looking for someone who can help drive the creative process — not simply execute detailed instructions.
Compensation
$60,000–$70,000 annually, depending on experience and portfolio.
For an exceptional candidate with the right mix of design ability, marketing skills, and technology experience, compensation will be considered within the upper end of the range.
Requirements
Design & Technology Expectations
We are specifically looking for someone who stays current with how marketing and design are evolving.Candidates should be comfortable using tools such as:
- Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
- Canva or similar rapid-content creation platforms when appropriate.
- AI-assisted creative and productivity tools for concept development, copywriting, image creation, photo editing, video, presentations, research, and workflow efficiency.
- Basic video editing software.
- Microsoft PowerPoint and other business presentation tools.
- Social media and digital content platforms.
We do not expect one person to be an expert in every new technology, but we do expect curiosity and a willingness to continuously learn, experiment, and find better ways of working.
