Summary

Willkie is seeking a Social Media Manager who will run the firm’s social media function, including handling daily posting across platforms as well as long-term strategy. This person will have responsibility for conceptualizing, planning, drafting, creating, posting and measuring impactful content on the firm’s social platforms to support firm business goals and drive engagement across internal and external audiences. Willkie is an elite international law firm of approximately 1,300 lawyers located in 16 offices in six countries.The Manager will have an understanding of emerging tools and trends in the digital and social media landscapes and advise on best practices in areas including training, measurement and engagement. This development of content and campaigns to support business development initiatives across multiple practice areas, recruiting, employee engagement, and other areas. The ideal candidate will have five years of experience working in social media in the legal or professional services industry, and have demonstrated experience providing strategic counsel and hands-on execution in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where prioritization is key.At Willkie, we believe great people are the key to our success. Responsibilities

  • Craft and execute daily postings to social media channels, tailoring content to each channel, including working with the graphic design team on developing engaging images for key posts.
  • Conduct rigorous quality assurance reviews of all social content prior to publication to ensure error-free work that is in compliance with firm guidelines.
  • Prioritize and manage competing requests in a fast-paced environment, balancing shifting deadlines and business priorities.
  • Monitor the firm's social media channels for performance metrics and activity
  • Provide ongoing guidance, training and best practices to internal stakeholders across the firm on the use of social media to support business goals.
  • Play a lead role in charting the continued growth of our social media presence and ensuring a best-in-class strategy, consistently aligning with the firm’s brand and culture.
  • Generating ideas for social media content to support myriad business goals of the firm, including leveraging thought leadership and speaking engagements.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders across the firm, as well as business development colleagues, to develop content and campaigns to support strategic goals.
  • Collaborate with Public Relations and Graphic Design teams to develop an efficient system for posting content ensuring consistency of brand and culture
  • Keep up with and provide guidance on social media developments and trends, emerging technologies, latest tools and best practices.
  • Handle other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree from four-year college or university
  • A minimum of 3 years of social media/digital communications experience.
  • Attentive to details and meticulous in execution.
  • Superb written and verbal communication skills and understanding of professional services content and subject matter.
  • Deep knowledge of social media platforms and digital communications strategies, including best practices, tools, and measurement.
  • Advanced knowledge of social media and digital communications strategies with respect to brand building, engagement and reputation management.
  • Knowledge and understanding of public relations principles.
  • Creative writing and editing skills, including attention to grammar, spelling, tone and vocabulary.
  • Creative thinker with an eye for design and layout, as well as the ability to think across multiple platforms of communication.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience of helping to build and maintain a best-in-class social media presence for a global organization
  • Analyzes problems, develops effective solutions and understands implications of solutions. Makes appropriate and timely decisions.
  • High collaboration skills, especially when working/brainstorming with business stakeholders and other cross-discipline program team members.
  • Ability to contribute through the entire life cycle of a project, from rough concepts to execution
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple projects at once and adapt to shifting priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to take ownership of projects, as well as willingness to step in and be hands on to help others as needed
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with the appropriate discretion.
  • Knowledge of and experience with online analytics/measurement platforms.

Pay Range

USD $150,000.00 - USD $160,000.00 /Yr.

Pay Range Statement

The salary range for this role represents the Firm’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent upon a number of factors, including but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant experience, qualifications and location.
