Four Seasons Sharm El Sheikh is seeking a dedicated Chief Engineer to lead all engineering operations across the property. This role ensures the safety, reliability, and efficiency of all mechanical systems while upholding Four Seasons service and operational standards.
What you will do
- Lead, train, supervise, motivate, and schedule engineering team members to maintain a high-performing department.
- Oversee preventive maintenance programs and ensure timely completion of all engineering tasks and work orders.
- Develop departmental policies, procedures, manuals, and a comprehensive 5-Year Plan and annual Operating & Capital Budgets.
- Maintain fire life safety systems and ensure all team members are trained in emergency response procedures, including CPR.
- Coordinate with other departments and communicate daily with hotel leadership on maintenance activities and priorities.
- Manage contractor relationships and ensure reliable 24-hour emergency support services.
- Monitor and report monthly consumption of electricity, gas, steam, and water, and maintain an energy conservation program.
- Ensure all public areas are patrolled daily, equipment is in good order, and engineering team members are well-groomed and in the correct uniform.
- Lead and follow through on projects assigned by General Manager, Resort Manager, or Director of Engineering.
What you bring
- Licensed Operations Engineer with strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems.
- High school graduate with two years of college-level engineering education or equivalent.
- Proficiency with computers and engineering software including Excel, Word, CMMS, and BMS systems.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and hydraulics documentation.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing engineering or technical teams.
