The School of Materials Science and Engineering (MSE) provides a vibrant and nurturing environment for staff and students to carry out inter-disciplinary research in key areas such as Computational Materials Science, Characterisation Materials Science, Defence Composite Materials, Functional Composite Materials, Energy, Nanomaterials, Low Dimensional Materials, Biomaterials Materials, Biological Materials, Bioinspired Materials and Sustainable Materials.

We are looking for a Research Fellow to develop membrane catalysis technologies. The role will focus on nanochannel materials design, ionic/molecular transport device fabrication, as well as system-level application investigation.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct research work according to project deliverables which involves preparing 2D materials and porous materials for nanochannel fabrication.
Comprehensive analysis of materials including density measurement, microstructure analysis and mechanical/thermal properties, etc.
Draft technical report and manuscript for publication.
Maintenance of specialized equipment and coordinate procurement with external suppliers.
Job Requirements:
PhD qualification degree in membrane science, chemical engineering, materials science or related field
At least 3 years of relevant experiences in membrane separation and catalysis.
Familiarity with two-dimensional materials and porous materials
Good written and oral communication skills
Competent in the ability to work independently and collaboration with team members
