Equipment Engineer

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Equipment Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely and thorough completion of all equipment-related preventive maintenance.Every day you will manage and oversee the execution of preventive maintenance schedules for equipment, ensuring optimal performance and longevity.To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate meticulous attention to detail in maintenance planning and oversight, and a proactive approach to ensuring the reliability and operational readiness of all equipment.

• Manages inventory of equipment parts and supplies
• Responsible for utility system locations and identification
• Performs major corrective maintenance and adjustments on the following systems as needed: ice machines, HVAC (chillers, air handler, and cooling towers), pneumatic and electromechanical controls, high and low pressure boilers, pumps, motors, exhaust fans, a/c units and air balancing
• Responsible for training other maintenance personnel on equipment usage/repair in areas of expertise
• Assists in coordination of proposed projects with outside vendors/subcontractors
• Assists in coordination of utility shut-downs with manager approval

Job Requirements

Required

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
• Five (5) years Plant Maintenance experience in a hospital or similar facility
