GENERAL PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF POSITION

The Health Care Pathway Specialist supports student success by managing the Health Sciences student pathway from initial interest through admission into limited enrollment programs. This position coordinates pathway transitions, monitors student progress, facilitates student engagement initiatives, and provides proactive outreach to promote persistence and successful progression into Health Sciences programs.

The Health Care Pathway Specialist serves as a central resource for students pursuing admission into Health Sciences programs by coordinating pathway activities, supporting enrollment and retention initiatives, facilitating educational programming, and collaborating across the School of Health Sciences to enhance the student experience.

COMPENSATION: $50,000-$55,000

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manage the Health Sciences pathway for students pursuing admission into limited enrollment programs.
• Monitor student progress and review academic performance reports to identify students who may benefit from additional support and outreach.
• Conduct proactive outreach through phone calls, email, text messaging, and other communication methods to promote student persistence and engagement.
• Monitor and update Academic Completion Plans to support timely progression toward program admission and graduation.
• Coordinate student pathway transitions following limited enrollment admission decisions.
• Coordinate the transition process for accepted students to the appropriate Program Chair.
• Coordinate mandatory pathway meetings for students not admitted and assist them in exploring alternative Health Sciences career pathways.
• Facilitate Academic Completion Plan modifications as appropriate.
• Coordinate Health Sciences Program Information Sessions, Healthcare Career Fairs, and recruitment events.
• Deliver presentations on Health Sciences programs, admission processes, and career opportunities.
• Coordinate TEAS information sessions and preparation activities.
• Represent the School at recruitment and community outreach events.
• Participate in School of Health Sciences meetings and initiatives.
• Coordinate initiatives that improve enrollment, persistence, and successful progression.

• Connect students with appropriate campus resources.
• Document pathway activities using institutional systems.
• Assist with data collection, reporting, and analysis.
• Support special projects assigned by the Dean.

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
• Experience in higher education, enrollment management, student success, workforce development, or related field.
• Knowledge of healthcare professions and educational pathways.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• Strong organizational and project management abilities.
• Experience coordinating events, presentations, and student engagement initiatives.
• Ability to learn institutional systems and reporting tools.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
