Paediatrician, Private Practice, Gqeberha – REF# IMR058-PD

An established specialist paediatric practice in Gqeberha is seeking a Paediatrician to provide additional clinical support on a full-time six-month locum/fixed-term contract, with the possibility of extension based on the practice's ongoing requirements.

The successful candidate will work alongside an established Paediatric Pulmonologist and assist with the increased patient and hospital workload.

Roles and Responsibilities (but not limited to):

• Attend to in-hospital and outpatient paediatric patients.
• Conduct consultations, assessments and follow-up appointments.
• Develop and manage appropriate treatment plans.
• Provide ongoing patient care and continuity of care.
• Communicate professionally with parents, caregivers and referring doctors.
• Liaise with other specialists and healthcare professionals.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records.
• Support the day-to-day clinical workload of the practice.
• Manage a busy caseload while maintaining a high standard of patient care.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• MBChB degree.
• Registered Specialist Paediatrician with the HPCSA.
• Previous hospital and/or private practice experience.
• Strong clinical knowledge and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a specialist team.
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage a busy workload.
• Full-time availability for the duration of the contract.
