About the Role:

The Senior Intelligence Analyst serves as a key member of the Federal Reserve Bank's Law Enforcement and Security organization and is responsible for identifying, collecting, evaluating, analyzing, and disseminating intelligence concerning threats that could adversely affect Federal Reserve personnel, facilities, operations, assets, information, executives, visitors, or mission-essential functions.

The Intelligence Analyst transforms information from law enforcement, government, commercial, open-source, internal security, and other authorized sources into timely, actionable intelligence that enables leadership to make informed risk-based security and operational decisions.

The position maintains situational awareness of emerging and persistent threats affecting the Federal Reserve Bank, its Branches, Federal Reserve System operations, financial-sector critical infrastructure, and relevant geographic areas of responsibility. Threat areas may include criminal activity, terrorism and violent extremism, targeted violence, workplace violence, cyber-enabled physical threats, insider threats, civil disturbances, geopolitical developments, threats to executives and employees, suspicious activity, critical infrastructure disruptions, natural hazards, and other events capable of affecting continuity or security operations.

The Intelligence Analyst serves as an intelligence liaison among Law Enforcement, Business Continuity, Crisis Management, Information Security/Cybersecurity, executive leadership, Federal Reserve System partners, and appropriate local, state, federal, and private-sector security and intelligence organizations.

The position supports the Federal Reserve's broader mission by providing a safe environment for people, while protecting Bank premises, operations, and assets. through proactive threat identification, intelligence assessment, warning, and information sharing.

You Will:

  • Threat Monitoring & Analysis — Monitor, collect, and analyze information on potential threats to Federal Reserve personnel, facilities, executives, and operations, developing intelligence assessments on emerging risks and vulnerabilities.
  • Executive Protection Intelligence — Lead threat assessments and protective intelligence support for executive travel, public appearances, and high-profile events, including location-specific and event-specific threat evaluations.
  • Intelligence Collection — Conduct authorized collection from law enforcement, government, commercial, open-source, and internal channels, maintaining sourcing standards and validating information for accuracy and reliability.
  • Intelligence Production & Dissemination — Develop and distribute standardized intelligence products (e.g., Daily Briefs, Threat Assessments, Immediate Notifications) tailored to operational staff and executive leadership, including system-wide products for Federal Reserve Banks lacking dedicated analysts.
  • Law Enforcement & Fusion Center Liaison — Build and maintain relationships with external law enforcement, fusion centers (Dallas, El Paso, Houston), FBI contacts, and intelligence-sharing groups to facilitate two-way information flow.
  • Crisis & Incident Intelligence Support — Maintain situational awareness during major incidents, provide real-time intelligence updates to incident commanders, and support Emergency Operations Center/Crisis Management Team activations.
  • Behavioral Threat Assessment Support — Research concerning behaviors, identify escalation indicators, and support multidisciplinary threat assessment teams (without making clinical/mental-health determinations).
  • Cyber-Physical Threat Integration — Collaborate with Cybersecurity, Insider Risk, and Fraud teams to identify and assess threats spanning both cyber and physical security domains.
  • Intelligence Requirements Development — Establish collection priorities and standing/event-specific intelligence requirements based on leadership needs and organizational risk tolerance.
  • Compliance & Information Handling — Ensure all collection, analysis, and dissemination activities comply with applicable laws, privacy requirements, and Federal Reserve policies for handling sensitive/classified information.

You Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Intelligence Studies, Criminal Justice, Homeland Security, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a related field.
  • Demonstrated background in threat analysis, intelligence collection, or a related law enforcement/security intelligence role, with ability to distinguish raw information from verified intelligence and analytical judgments.
  • Ability to produce clear, concise intelligence products (briefs, assessments, reports) for both operational personnel and executive leadership audiences.
  • Familiarity with law enforcement databases, fusion center systems, open-source intelligence (OSINT) tools, social media monitoring, and commercial intelligence platforms.
  • Prior experience supporting VIP travel security, advanced work, or protective intelligence assessments for high-profile individuals or events.
  • Equivalent education and/or experience may be substituted for any of the above requirements.
  • Willingness and ability to travel (10-20%) and provide after-hours/on-call support during crises, incidents, or executive travel as operational needs dictate.
  • Must obtain and maintain Top Secret clearance as a condition of employment, given the sensitive nature of law enforcement and intelligence information handled.
