Personal Support Worker (PSW) – Long-Term Care
Location: Hamilton, ON
Assignment Location: Brantford Area, Ontario
Employment: Casual
Pay: $21.00/hour
Start: ASAP
HealthOPM staffing agency is recruiting Personal Support Workers (PSWs) for casual shifts within a long-term care home in the Brantford area. We're looking for dependable PSWs who enjoy supporting older adults and can provide flexible availability, particularly for weekend coverage.
The Role
- Assist residents with bathing, personal care, dressing, grooming and activities of daily living
- Support mobility, transfers, repositioning and mealtime needs
- Observe and report changes in resident condition to the nursing team
- Follow resident care plans, infection-control practices and safety procedures
- Provide respectful, compassionate and resident-centred care
Requirements
- Recognized Personal Support Worker (PSW) certificate
- Previous long-term care, retirement or senior-care experience preferred
- Current CPR/First Aid
- Vulnerable Sector Check and required health/immunization documentation
- Reliable transportation to the Brantford area
- Flexible casual availability, including weekends
- Able to start as soon as possible
