Job Summary

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for leading the end-to-end delivery of data center construction projects, ensuring that all works are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role manages multidisciplinary teams and contractors across civil, structural, architectural (CSA), mechanical, and electrical scopes, with a strong focus on mission-critical reliability and operational readiness.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the full lifecycle of data center construction projects from pre-construction through commissioning and handover

• Develop and manage project execution plans, schedules, and budgets

• Oversee CSA, MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing), and specialist systems installation

• Coordinate with design consultants, general contractors, and equipment vendors

• Ensure compliance with data center standards such as Uptime Institute Tier requirements and ASHRAE guidelines

• Drive site progress, monitor milestones, and proactively resolve delays or issues

• Lead risk management, change control, and value engineering initiatives

• Oversee procurement strategy, contract administration, and cost control

• Ensure strict adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory requirements

• Manage testing and commissioning phases in collaboration with commissioning teams

• Provide regular reporting to senior stakeholders on progress, risks, and financials

• Lead project closeout, documentation, and client handover

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline

• 10–15+ years of experience in construction project management

• Proven experience delivering large-scale data center or mission-critical projects

• Strong understanding of:

  • Electrical systems (UPS, generators, MV/LV distribution)

  • Cooling systems (chillers, CRAH/CRAC, containment)

  • Redundancy design (N, N+1, 2N architectures)

• Experience managing Tier III / Tier IV facilities preferred

Skills & Competencies

• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills

• Excellent planning, scheduling, and organizational abilities

• Deep understanding of construction sequencing and site execution

• High attention to detail with strong problem-solving capabilities

• Commercial awareness and contract negotiation skills

• Ability to operate effectively in high-pressure, fast-track environments
