The Lab Clinic Assistant is an integral and valued part of the Esthetician Sciences team. This position supports the program and students by offering front-desk support in the on-campus salon, inventory controls and supporting the instructional faculty. 

This job description has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed by employees within this classification. While the full annual salary range for this role is $48,555.72 to $63,631.08, successful candidates are typically hired at the beginning of the salary range (Level A, Step 3) and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with the applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement.

This position is represented by the Clover Park Federation of Classified Employees, Local 4789.Duty: Provide front-desk support for Clover Parks’ on-campus esthetics salon
Tasks include:
  • Support and guide students using the point of sale system.
  • Provide support and feedback to students when working with spa clients.
  • Prepare deposit slips and reconcile the cash drawer(s).
  • Provide exemplary customer service.
  • Support and maintain professional environment.
Duty: Inventory
Tasks include:
  • Monitor inventory levels and prepare purchase requisitions/requests.
  • Perform and provide year-end inventory reports.
  • Maintain clinic equipment.
Duty: Support instructional faculty
Tasks include:
  • Set up and break down of clinic and labs.
  • Input student information into the Department of Licensing database.
  • Organize advisory committee meetings.
  • Point of Sale (POS) support.
Duty: Support and refer students
Tasks include:
  • Refer students to appropriate areas to resolve challenges and concerns.
  • Current or previous experience working in an Esthetics spa environment.
  • Experience setting up, entering data and running reports from a Point of Sale (POS) system.
  • Great communication skills, and customer service skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel) or similar software.
  • Great time management and organizational skills.

Our History

Clover Park Technical College is located in Lakewood, Washington. Our college has a rich history of professional and technical education dating back to the 1940s, when Clover Park School District established a War Production program, training civilians as auto mechanics, aircraft-service mechanics, ship-fitters, welders and blueprint readers. Now, CPTC offers more than forty programs in Aerospace, Advanced Manufacturing, Health Sciences, Human Services, Business, Hospitality, Science Technology, Engineering, Transportation and Trades.
