Overview
ROLE AT A GLANCE:
The Assistant Manager, Indirect Sourcing, is responsible for supporting the strategic sourcing and procurement of indirect spend category especially into MICE and Employee Travel related services, ensuring cost optimization, supplier performance, risk mitigation, and alignment with business objectives. This role partners closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers to deliver end to end sourcing initiatives and drive operational excellence while maintaining compliance with company policies and procurement standards.

TEAM DYNAMICS:
- Work within a collaborative global procurement organization focused on strategic sourcing, supplier management, and business partnership. Partner regularly with cross-functional teams including Finance, Legal, Admin, Events, Marketing and external suppliers. Operate in a fast-paced environment that values continuous improvement, innovation, stakeholder engagement, and data-driven decision-making. Participate in regional and global sourcing initiatives while supporting local business requirements and priorities.
LEADERSHIP AND SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- No direct people management responsibility. But should be capable of providing guidance and subject matter expertise, reviews to other cross functional teams and business stakeholders on sourcing and procurement best practices.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR SUCCESS:
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration/Management, Procurement, Finance, or a related field.
- Master's degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred but not mandatory.
Experience
- 10+ years
10+ years of relevant experience in the field of Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, Supply Chain, Category Management specific to Travel and MICE.
Proven experience in supplier negotiations, contract management, sourcing strategy development, and stakeholder engagement.
Experience working within multinational or global organizations is highly desirable.
Skills/Certifications
- Strong strategic sourcing, negotiation, supplier management, and contract management capabilities.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, proficiency in spend analysis, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with procurement platforms such as Coupa, Oracle, or similar sourcing and procurement systems.
