Our Opportunity:
The Advisor Services division supports registered investment advisors (RIAs) with custody, trading, technology and practice management tools. Schwab is the leading provider of custody services in the RIA marketplace serving approximately 15,000 RIA businesses managing over $4 trillion of assets at Schwab. The Digital Advisor Solutions team within Advisor Services leads digital product development and B2B technology strategy for our Schwab Advisor Center (SAC) platform, third-party developer API offerings, and internal rep platforms.
We are looking for a Manager, Digital Product Management to join the Move Money team, which is responsible for enabling digital payment capabilities on the Schwab Advisor Center (SAC) platform. In this role, you will lead technology-enablement initiatives, support application stability and platform health, and drive regulatory efforts that align our capabilities with evolving industry standards.
What you’ll do:
- Lead the development of key tech-enablement initiatives to improve Schwab Advisor platform performance and security.
- Manage daily scrum activities and write user stories in JIRA.
- Prioritize high impact work for the engineering team and keep development work on track.
- Create a release plan in coordination with the scrum team and other lines of business.
- Perform impact analysis on platform support issues, identify risk and build communication/remediation plan to mitigate risk swiftly.
- Drive problem solving, accountability, and resolutions in production support situations; recommend future enhancements.
- Understand and research platform flows and collaborate with QA to address testing requests from other partner teams. Document complex business requirements and test plans in Confluence.
- Analyze advisor feedback from platform surveys to identify opportunities and manage the Move Money product backlog.
- Lead design development work with UX partners, content team, and engineering.
- Build PowerPoint presentations to communicate findings or lay out plans and ideas for stakeholder input and review; persuasive presentation skills.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders – Engineering, UX, Service, Operations, Product, Risk, Legal, Compliance– to define requirements and drive the execution through proactive communication and follow-up.
What you have
Required
- 3-4 years of experience in a technical product management or product development role
- An agile mindset; expert in agile methodologies for software development (writing user stories, acceptance criteria, facilitating scrum activities)
- Natural curiosity and a continuous learning attitude
- Advanced technology acumen, including an understanding of how software products are made, familiarity with architectures, languages, and build cycles.
- Project management - Able to juggle multiple priorities, drive progress and accountability across multiple stakeholders. Strong self-management to move work forward without prescriptive leadership guidance.
- Problem-solving & Advanced analytical skills - Ability to collect and analyze information, problem-solve, and make decisions through data.
- Strong relationship-management skills – Able to foster connections across different parts of the organization to drive a well-rounded implementation strategy
Preferred
- Communication and presentation skills - Adept at PowerPoint, good at framing and telling a logical story, strong verbal and written communication - for executive audience, tech partners, operations, etc.
