The Opportunity
Join our team as a Field Service Representative and play a key role in delivering exceptional service to our customers. You will execute service work on-site, ensuring compliance with Hitachi Energy’s safety standards and project requirements. This role offers the chance to work on advanced power products, build strong customer relationships, and develop technical expertise in transformers and high-voltage equipment. How You’ll Make an Impact
Perform troubleshooting, repair, installation, testing, commissioning, and start-up of power equipment.
Execute transformer installation and maintenance activities, including bushing replacement and leak repairs.
Conduct electrical testing of transformers (power factor, ratio, resistance, insulation resistance, SFRA).
Operate and maintain transformer oil processing rigs.
Prepare technical reports and customer documentation after site work.
Collaborate with sales, marketing, and engineering teams to provide field service expertise.
Mentor other field service employees and support technical training initiatives.
Ensure all site work meets safety requirements and compliance standards.
Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
Your Background
Trade education, college diploma, or university degree in a technical field (electrical, mechanical, etc.).
Minimum 5 years of electrical field service experience or relevant substation/transformer experience.
Strong knowledge of power transformers and power system equipment; HV knowledge is an asset.
Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems independently.
Excellent communication and customer relationship skills.
Valid Canadian driver’s license and acceptable driving record; valid passport for international travel.
Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in Canada.

Salary Range: $75,000– $100,000
