Position Summary
The Parking Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the parking garage. The supervisor will ensure parking operations runs smoothly while on shift, delivering a safe, efficient, and customer-friendly experience for all patrons. The role includes supervising parking attendants, managing garage operations, enforcing parking policies, and ensuring that the facility is clean, organized, and fully operational.
Responsibilities
- Train and oversee parking and traffic attendants to ensure smooth operations of the garage, including efficient customer service, and proper enforcement of parking rules.
- Address customer inquiries, complaints, and concerns in a professional and courteous manner. Provide assistance as needed to ensure an optimal parking experience for visitors.
- In collaboration with the parking manager, conduct regular performance reviews and ensure team members are following proper procedures, safety protocols, and customer service standards by providing timely and actionable feedback.
- Ensure that the garage is clean, organized, and well-maintained. Monitor facility equipment (e.g., ticket machines, gates, lighting) and escalate any issues or malfunctions to the manager that cannot be resolved by the team members on shift so that timely repair and maintenance can occur.
- Monitor payment systems and ensure revenue collection processes are functioning correctly. Verify accuracy of financial transactions and prepare daily/weekly/monthly reports of parking usage and revenue.
- Enforce parking rules and regulations, including issuing citations for violations and managing parking space availability. Collaborate with local authorities as needed for towing and enforcement.
- Ensure safety and security standards and coordinate emergency response protocols in case of accidents or emergencies.
- Collaborate with the valet team to coordinate parking logistics during special events, holidays, or peak shopping periods, ensuring sufficient space and smooth traffic flow.
- Report on parking performance and customer feedback to management. Propose improvements and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
Requirements
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent, required. Some college, or completed undergrad degree preferred.
- Two or more years prior experience training, mentoring and/or supervising others in parking operations or similar.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Demonstrated excellence providing customer service in a hospitality or retail environment.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail, as well as organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe, and other relevant software.
Physical Requirements
Position requires the incumbent to stand, walk, bend, twist, & stretch. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, along with having the ability to push and pull up to approximately 25 lbs of drag weight without assistance. Due to this position being partially outside, the employee will be exposed to all weather conditions.
