Description
Shape how AIOps, observability and automation turn complex operations into proactive, predictive and self-healing IT. Join our Tools & Automation team and help reduce resolution times, remove manual work and prevent incidents.
Why Sandvik?
Here, you combine strategic architecture with hands-on technical work in a shared Group IT capability. You influence how automation and AI are applied across our technology landscape, working closely with engineers, product stakeholders and operational teams.
- Shape a new position with significant technical influence.
- Lead the journey from reactive operations to proactive and predictive remediation.
- Work across AIOps, observability, event management and automation in an enterprise environment.
About your job
As Solution Architect in our Tools & Automation team, you own the architecture and technical direction for observability, event management, AIOps and automation solutions. At the heart of your work is AIOps and auto-remediation: creating a systematic approach to discovering, prioritizing and delivering automation opportunities that reduce Mean Time to Resolution, improve signal quality and enable safe, self-healing operations.
Job responsibilities
- Own the AIOps and auto-remediation strategy, including event correlation, anomaly detection, noise reduction, root-cause analysis and self-healing.
- Establish a repeatable method for identifying and prioritizing remediation opportunities using incident, event and monitoring data.
- Design proactive and predictive remediation based on early-warning signals, AI and machine learning.
- Define reference architectures, technical standards and safe, governed patterns for turning correlated events into automated actions.
- Set the technical roadmap for observability and event management, covering metrics, log analytics, synthetic monitoring and platform integrations.
- Guide Solution Engineers, assure solution quality and evaluate platforms, tools and vendors.
Location
This is an on-site position with Stockholm WTC as the primary location and Sandviken as the secondary location.
Your profile
You’re an experienced architect with a strong technical foundation in AIOps, observability, event management and automation. Alongside setting direction and standards, you’re comfortable prototyping solutions, solving complex technical problems and working closely with engineers and stakeholders.
Your background includes
- Experience architecting AIOps, auto-remediation or self-healing solutions that contribute to measurable reductions in resolution time.
- Enterprise-scale architecture or design of observability, monitoring and event correlation solutions.
- Hands-on automation development using Python, APIs, AI or automation frameworks.
- Experience with CI/CD, GitOps and Infrastructure as Code, as well as integrations between monitoring, event management, ITSM and cloud platforms.
- A relevant university degree or equivalent practical experience in computer science, information technology or a related field, together with professional English proficiency.
Forward-looking and outcome-driven, you balance ambitious automation goals with operational safety and delivery realities. Clear communication helps you translate complexity for different audiences, while your collaborative approach builds alignment across engineering, business and vendor relationships. Most importantly, you enjoy sharing knowledge, guiding others and continuously improving how the team works.
