Job Summary:

Supports the Office of Sponsored Projects Pre-Award and Post-Award teams, principal investigators, project supporting staff, and other internal customers with processes and administrative tasks related to the pre-award pursuit of funding opportunities and the post-award management of awarded restricted external funding, which includes grant and grant-like funding mechanisms.

Job Duties:

  • Prepares detailed requests for the establishment and modification of Workday work tags for accounting, monitoring, and informational purposes.

  • Facilitates internal pre-award and post-award processes and approvals, such as transmittal forms, cost transfer forms, subaward invoicing, and award request forms.

  • Creates and maintains negotiation and award records in applicable databases.

  • Assists with the development, presentation, and implementation of educational materials related to pre-award and post-award operations for principal investigators, project managers, and project teams.

  • Coordinates weekly lists of high priority outstanding items to be communicated to research leadership and tracks them for completion.

  • Updates and edits OSP SharePoint content and other supporting processes and documentation.

  • Develops and implements best practices related to the administrative components of pre-award and post-award processes.

  • Maintains active partnerships with the Office of Research Compliance, IRB Operations, Research Finance, Insurance Risk Services Corporate Office, Investigator Initiated Research Operations, Research Contracts, and the Office of Clinical Research Operations.

  • Prepares internal metric reports for research leadership.
