Description
Digital Analytics Lead
Sydney | Hybrid |
This is not a role for someone who simply wants to produce dashboards and report on what happened. We're partnering with a large Australian organisation undergoing a significant digital transformation and looking for a Digital Analytics Lead to help build how its digital product teams understand customer behaviour, measure performance and make better decisions. You'll join a growing Digital and Customer Experience function at a point where there is genuine opportunity to shape the capability.
What you'll own
You'll help establish the foundations for digital analytics across a portfolio of customer-facing products and journeys, including:
- Defining digital measurement frameworks and product metrics
- Establishing event tracking, analytics standards and governance
- Analysing customer journeys, funnels, behaviours and drop-off points
- Identifying opportunities to improve customer experience and product performance
- Building meaningful dashboards and reporting for Product and business teams
- Supporting experimentation, A/B testing and optimisation
- Combining quantitative data with customer and research insights
- Working closely with Product Managers, Designers, Researchers and Engineers
- Turning complex data into clear recommendations that influence product priorities and roadmaps
- Improving analytics capability and data literacy across the broader Digital team
What we're looking for
We're interested in people coming from Digital Analytics, Product Analytics, Digital Insights, Customer Analytics or Digital Optimisation backgrounds.
You'll ideally bring:
- 5+ years' experience across digital or product analytics
- Strong experience understanding behaviour across websites, digital products and customer journeys
- Hands-on experience with tools such as Adobe Analytics, GA4, Amplitude, Pendo, FullStory or similar
- Strong SQL skills
- Dashboarding experience across Power BI, Tableau, Looker or similar
- Experience defining measurement frameworks and event-tracking strategies
- The ability to get underneath the data, form a point of view and recommend what should change
- Experience partnering directly with Product, Design and Engineering teams
- Strong stakeholder skills and the confidence to challenge assumptions with evidence
Experience with Adobe Analytics, tag management, Contentsquare/Hotjar, experimentation, personalisation or A/B testing would be particularly relevant.
Experience within healthcare, financial services, insurance or another complex/regulated environment is useful, but not essential.
Why consider it?
The appeal of this role is the level of ownership.
You're not stepping into a mature analytics machine where everything has already been decided. There is work to do around data, measurement and consistency, and you'll have the opportunity to influence what good digital analytics looks like across the organisation.
It's a hands-on individual contributor role, but with genuine leadership through influence. You'll work directly with senior Customer Experience, Product, Design and Engineering stakeholders and help embed a much stronger culture of evidence-led product decision-making.
If you're currently sitting inside an established analytics or optimisation team and want the opportunity to build the capability, shape the framework and see your insights directly influence digital products, I'd love to speak with you. Hit the apply now button if this sounds like a true fit.
