US Vaccines, Director of Private Sector Contracting
The primary responsibility of the Director, Private Sector Contracting in the US Vaccines Contracting & Distribution Strategies team is to lead the operations and execution of all private sector contracting. This role manages a team of five Associate Directors who have responsibility for various private sector contracts. The role works closely with Legal, Customer Contract Management, Data & Analytics, Global Market Access and US Vaccines customer-facing organization to ensure efficient and effective contract execution enabling product access to our customers and patients. Private sector contracts span multiple stakeholders in the vaccine ecosystem including retail pharmacy, IDNs, hospitals and clinics. The role has a significant amount of account team and customer facing engagement inclusive of coordination with field leadership contracting points for field training and contract execution.
Specific job responsibilities include:
Leadership of private sector contract execution.
Leadership and management of a team of Associate Directors responsible for various contracts.
Collaboration with leadership and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with brand strategy, compliance with all commercial laws and regulations, and executional excellence.
Ability to lead transformational work including cross-functional ways of working to enable contract effectiveness.
Ability to manage account specific issues and challenges and ensure compliance with our company’s contract terms and conditions.
Leadership of contract pull through activities, resources, and monitoring of contract performance.
Education Minimum Requirement:
BS/BA Required; MBA Preferred
Required Experience and Skills:
Minimum 2 years of combined commercial strategy, brand marketing strategy, or customer segment strategy experience at the Associate Director/Director level (e.g. Marketing, Payer/Managed Care Marketing, Customer Marketing, Portfolio Marketing)
Minimum 5 years combined people management experience, access/contracting experience, account management experience (e.g. CTL, VKCL, IAL, AE, Customer Manager)
Leadership – candidate should exhibit strong executive presence, ability to set strategic direction and lead team to accomplish goals, strong decision making, and communication skills
Operational experience in understanding complex End to End process/technology and how to establish sustainable, scalable solutions.
Effective collaborator with the ability to work across a various set of internal stakeholders.
Demonstrated financial & business acumen including financial/contract modeling
HQ experience in working cross-functionally across multiple teams of stakeholders.
Preferred Experience and Skills:
Preferred experience in vaccines
Experience in private sector marketplace including IDNs, GPOs, Retail Pharmacy
Broad and deep understanding of health care trends and policy, customer ecosystem, quality, & buy and bill model

The salary range for this role is
$190,800.00 - $300,300.00This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, government requirements, and business or organizational needs.
The successful candidate will be eligible for annual bonus and long-term incentive, if applicable.
