Overview
Electric Boat Quonset Point is in need of an Investigator to support our historic growth. In this role, you will conduct investigations into security, safety, ethics, human resources, and malpractice issues. Responsibilities are as follows:
- Employ all the fundamentals of investigation techniques for the purpose of fact finding, to include but not limited to surveillance, evidence collection and preservation, witness interviews and obtaining detailed written statements
- Provide detailed reports/findings to designated individuals in Security, Human Resources, Ethics, Legal and Safety
- As needed, testify on behalf of the Company in various proceedings including administrative hearings, arbitrations, court and worker’s compensation hearings
- Legally and physically operating company vehicles and using Company issued equipment as required for the performance of assigned duties is required
The selected candidate is expected to have excellent verbal and written commutation skills and be able to develop and maintain strong working relationships with employees at all levels of the organization

This position is onsite at the Quonset Point facility in North Kingstown, RI.
Qualifications
Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years of documented complex investigation experience such as but not limited to: Municipal Police Department Investigator or State Police Department Investigator, Federal Investigator, Military Investigator, Tribal Investigator, or Industrial Security Investigator
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license issued by the state in which you reside
- Working all shifts including extended hours and weekends as business needs dictate is required
- Travel within the continental United States and Hawaii as needed to complete investigations is required (less than 5%)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance through the department of defense
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Security, Criminal Justice or other related field
- 10+ years of investigation experience
- Active DoD security clearance

- Professional experience as a primary or lead investigator of incidents involving industrial accidents, industrial malpractice, labor law, embezzlement, discrimination and allegations of harassment

- Able to handle investigations with complete objectivity, consistency, and maintain confidentiality
