Description

The Research Centre for Residue and Toxic Industrial Waste Management (TREASURES) at NTU is seeking a dynamic, highly organized, and resourceful Research Fellow to join the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational and Resource Management: Monitor and coordinate financial and administrative processes relating to Centre activities, including budget tracking, procurement, claims, contracts, and asset management, ensuring compliance with institutional policies and governance requirements.

  • Executive and Strategic Coordination: Support the Centre Co-Director in managing strategic priorities, meetings, engagements, and travel by assessing competing demands and coordinating activities according to stakeholder priorities and operational requirements.

  • Research Centre Communications: Develop and maintain the Centre's digital and external communications, including website content, research highlights, news, events, and research milestones, to enhance the visibility and impact of the Centre's research and industry activities.

  • Research Centre Governance and Secretariat: Coordinate the governance and secretariat functions of committees, advisory boards, and strategic meetings, including agenda development, preparation of briefing materials, documentation of decisions, action tracking, and follow-up.

  • Strategic Reporting and Analysis: Prepare, analyse, and consolidate management reports, presentations, briefing papers, correspondence, and other materials to support strategic decision-making, institutional reporting, industry engagement, and monitoring of Centre performance.

  • Process Improvement and Centre Development: Identify opportunities to improve Centre processes, systems, stakeholder engagement, and operational workflows, and implement initiatives that enhance efficiency, service quality, research impact, and governance effectiveness.

  • Information and Research Data Governance: Manage confidential and sensitive information, including industry data, collaboration agreements, research-related documentation, and stakeholder information, ensuring appropriate governance, accuracy, confidentiality, and information integrity.

  • Grant and Research Funding Coordination: Coordinate inputs for grant applications, funding calls, workplans, progress updates, budget justifications, and related submissions, ensuring accurate and timely compilation of administrative, financial, and technical information.

Job Requirements:

  • A PhD degree from a recognized institution in Business, Communications, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics), or a related discipline.

  • At least 3 to 4 years of relevant work experience ideally within a fast-paced or complex organization.

  • Experience working within an Institute of Higher Learning (IHL) or a research institute is highly advantageous.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Proficiency in website content management and Microsoft Office applications.

  • A proactive, resourceful, and adaptable approach to work, with strong interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with academics and corporate executives.
