General Summary
DBA: Administers and maintains Oracle database security and integrity, resolves performance issues, and leads database management efforts.
CNC: Manages the security and integrity of the J.D. Edwards EnterpriseOne system, and supports implementation, upgrades, and technical infrastructure.
Essential Job Accountabilities
DBA
Administers the security of databases to ensure high availability, optimum performance, and assured security of all Database environments.
Provides senior technical leadership to the database design teams, database programming group, IT, and the enterprise including being conversant with and cognizant of the future direction of systems, how that direction will impact the enterprise, and how future and current systems can be exploited for the benefit of the enterprise.
Sets standards and controls the necessary infrastructure process associated with the database(s) of the enterprise. Enforce version control and change management processes to support internal and external audit requirements. Ensures both internal and external audit requirements are met.
Works closely with other IT groups to coordinate current and future and activities including coordination and technical assistance to facilitate specific development projects that involve the computing environment, the coordination of software upgrades and the installation of new products.
Manages Database vendors in support of Granite and oversees all contract verbiage and requested work from any vendors via work ticket or direct requests.
Designs, develops, and implements physical data model for the development and/or production systems to effectively plan for and execute any required database upgrades and migration (patches etc.)
Supports the data loads into the databases, creates database objects and maintain their physical organization/relationships to ensure that the application and any enhancements interact efficiently with the database.
Develops and implements database performance monitoring process and analyze monitoring data to enhance performance optimization opportunities.
Assists in the definition of backup-recovery and archiving strategies, performs administration activities including backup and recovery and produces technical documentation and reports related to the databases, forecasting and system problems under management according to technology standards.
CNC
Support and maintenance of multiple environments (Pristine, Dev, CRP, QA, PROD) and path codes
Proven experience in OMW Object Promotions, Package Builds and Deployment, Installation of ESU’s / ASU’s / Planner ESU’s, Applying Tools Releases in Multi Foundation environment, Change Assistant, Server Manager Administration, etc.
Support & maintenance of user profiles and security, JobQ / batch administration, print queues, etc.
Manages CNC vendors in support of Granite and oversees all contract verbiage and requested work from any vendors via work ticket or direct requests
Installation of Service Packs and software fixes as well as maintenance of EnterpriseOne backups.
Assist with issue troubleshooting, tracking and resolution, including usage of a top-tier Service Desk system (ServiceNow).
Experience with any of the following functionality in JDE will be an asset – LAN & WAN Networking, OS Admin
Knowledge of User Productivity Kit (UPK), OneView Reporting (OVR) and E1 Pages
Expertise in standard productivity tools - MS Office, MS Project, MS Visio, MS SharePoint, etc.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field
Work Experience
7+ years of DBA administration experience with Oracle, Oracle RAC, Microsoft SQL, and other database systems, as well as 7+ years of CNC administration experience with JD Edwards implementation or upgrade projects
Knowledge, skills, and abilities
7+ years DBA administration experience in day-to-day activities Ability to express complex technical concepts effectively, both verbally and in writing
Experience with large databases in ana Oracle RAC configuration
Demonstrated knowledge of interdependencies between OS security and DB security
Expertise in Performance Tuning
Oracle Certification preferred
MS SQL experience preferred
Working knowledge of networks
Working knowledge of Windows and Linux OS
Working knowledge of software version control concepts and change management processes
Working knowledge of ETL processes
Working knowledge of data modeling concepts both relational and dimensional
Working knowledge of UNIX shell scripting
Working knowledge of automated job scheduling
Strong experience with Oracle SQL and/or PL/SQL
Understanding of authentication and authorization security concepts
Understanding of all phases of the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
Demonstrated expertise in change management and version control practices

Base Salary Range:
$127,843.00 - $191,763.00Pay may vary based upon relevant experience, skills, location, and education among other factors.
