What you'll do:

As an Operations Director you'll be responsible for leading the bank’s banking operation teams, ensuring smooth workflow, efficiency, and adherence to applicable policies and procedures. The banking operation consists of multiple banking teams responsible for the daily processing and client support. The Director will handle tasks like setting goals and objectives, liaising with clients, ensuring transactions are done timely, correctly, resolving issues, and ensuring execution of banking operations plan. You'll oversee the recruitment, onboarding, and development of operation staff, plan, direct, or coordinate the delivery of products and services. Ensure proper controls are in place to reduce risk and minimize fraud and will facilitating timely and accurate banking transactions across all operational systems. One key responsibilities will be to support Operations and Sales to build and maintain strong relationships with all key stakeholders and grow relationships by providing excellent customer service in support of business profitability and deposit goals.
  • Responsible for supporting the Senior Director in developing strategic operations plan and drive alignment of goals, objectives, and strategic initiatives. Identify and lead adoption, usage, and reinforcement of change as change agent. Provide strong leadership and direction to enhance effectiveness of change.
  • Maintain strong understanding of all bank products and services provided to clients and integrations to client external accounting software. Collaborate with Sales to build trust and enhance the customer relationship. Collaborates with customers to manage difficult situations that may have a negative impact on their business.
  • Direct managers in any team performance calibration. Ensure adherence to risk management guidelines, processes and monitoring of KRIs. Test risk controls, as directed. Collaborate with internal, external auditors and prepare, monitor, update and ensure completion of associated action plans, as necessary.
  • Ensure bankers follow and support fraud control procedures, and support customers and Fraud Control team to actively mitigate bank and customer risk of monetary loss. Drive and support the development and enhancement of internal and customer user guides, desktop, and department procedures.
  • Lead and develop a team; responsible for hiring, coaching, performance management, training and development.

What you'll need:

  • 10+ years of related experience in Treasury Management Service, Branch Banking Operations or similar field.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Previous leadership experience required.
  • Expert knowledge of general banking operations, including deposit operations, loan administration, treasury management and/or other commercial banking products and services.
  • Expert knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices.
  • Strong leadership experience managing and developing large groups of employees.
  • A strategic mindset, with the ability to connect effective development initiatives with business needs. Ability to think creatively and strategically to successfully mediate and negotiate with individuals and groups internally and externally.
  • Ability to effectively manage large staff, multiple projects with deadlines, and budget constraints.
  • Expert speaking and writing communication skills.
  • Occasional travel required.
