[What the role is]

The incumbent's job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

[What you will be working on]

Report and assist Senior Assistant Engineer/Engineer in day-to-day operations. Manage and supervise contractors in the maintenance and repair of mechanical plants and equipment within department installations island wide. Recommend measures for preventive/corrective maintenance of plants and equipment. Troubleshooting of mechanical equipment faults. Manage and supervision of contract works and contractors at site. After office hours standby duty attending to plants and equipment faults Other administrative duties:

• Put up Small Value Purchase and Works Order for maintenance works inclusive of Approval of Requirement (AOR), Goods Receipt Note (GRN) & Certification of Completion (CC).
• Prepare documents for Invitation to Quote (ITQ), including budgetary quotation, assist to prepare specifications, i.e. get technical sample specs of products etc, and assist Senior Assistant Engineer/Engineer in conducting site show round.
• Evaluate quotations received from ITQ and put-up Acceptance of Quotation (AOQ).
• Ensure maintenance and procurement filing are in order and updated.
• Managing and recording of department’s Mechanical assets.

Any other duties as assigned, e.g.; driving of PUB service vehicle.
