The Marriott Phoenix Chandler, located in Chandler- a Southeast suburb of Phoenix, is the newest Full Service Marriott in the state of Arizona!   Featuring 264 Guest Rooms and over 21,000 sq ft of event space, this hotel has the largest Ballroom in Chandler, AZ!  Within the hotel, Proof ’19 features handcrafted cocktails, local beers, and Southwest cuisine.  We Proudly Brew Starbucks Café serves a morning pick-me-up and variety of breakfast options.  The hotel features modern décor and is situated within the Price Road Corridor, near some of Arizona’s largest employers, including Fortune 100 & 500 companies.

JOB SUMMARY

The cleanliness of our hotel is one of the main reasons guests choose to return and recommend the Marriott Phoenix Chandler Hotel to friends and family. Our Housekeeping team plays a critical role in creating a clean, comfortable, and memorable guest experience.

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our Housekeeping team. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work and understands the importance of properly caring for and maintaining guest linens. This role is truly the “Heart of the House,” providing essential services that help ensure our guests can relax and enjoy their stay.

YOUR ROLE

• Engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner and assist with their needs as appropriate.
• Work as part of the Housekeeping team to achieve and maintain the hotel's cleanliness and service standards.
• Wash, dry, fold, sort, and properly store guest room linens, towels, and other hotel laundry.
• Process restaurant, banquet, and catering linens as needed.
• Inspect linens for cleanliness, stains, damage, and overall condition.
• Ensure clean linens are properly organized and readily available for Housekeeping operations.
• Keep the laundry room, linen storage areas, and surrounding common areas clean, organized, and free of hazards.

• Properly operate laundry equipment and understand the appropriate use of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
• Follow all hotel safety procedures when handling equipment, chemicals, linens, and laundry carts.
• Assist Room Attendants and Housepersons with Housekeeping duties as needed.
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
• Communicate and respond to guests and fellow team members in a friendly, helpful, and professional manner.
• Follow Marriott and Pyramid Global Hospitality standards and procedures.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

What are we looking for?

QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous hotel, laundry, or housekeeping experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Neat, professional, and pleasant personality.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to communicate effectively with guests, team members, and management.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced hotel environment.
• Ability to work on your feet for extended periods of time.
• Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and move throughout the property as required.
• Ability to safely maneuver laundry and housekeeping carts in tight spaces.
• Ability to operate laundry and cleaning equipment safely and effectively.
• Ability to recognize and report maintenance, cleanliness, or safety concerns.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull items weighing at least 25 pounds.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, based on hotel business needs.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, lifting, pushing, pulling, and repetitive movements. The Laundry Attendant must be able to safely handle linens and operate laundry equipment and cleaning tools.

The position requires the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull loads of at least 25 pounds and safely maneuver carts weighing up to 100 pounds in tight spaces.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The Laundry Attendant works primarily in the hotel's laundry, Housekeeping, and back-of-house areas. The position may involve exposure to heat, humidity, cleaning chemicals, noise from laundry equipment, and wet or slippery surfaces.
