What You Will Do *

- Conducts flammability tests for Aircraft seat/cabin components

- Administers Flammability, Oil & Vertical Burn Testing, Special Conditions, Heat Release, Smoke Density and Toxicity certification requirements of 14CFR25.853(a), (c) & (d)

- Select engineering techniques to solve problems and make design recommendations

- Reviews and approves design changes from certification perspective for weight/material sensitive and optimized design solutions

- Creates and compiles FAA certification documentation for submittal to OEMs, Airline customers and Regulatory agencies

- Material selection and material specifications correlation

- Authors, peer checks and directs preparation of appropriate documentation for assigned projects

- Ensures successful completion of the assigned project phase within the budgeted time and cost constraints

- Good verbal and written communication

Qualifications You Must Have *

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or other STEM discipline with minimum of 1~3 years of relevant experience in Flammability (or) an Advanced degree in a related field with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in Flammability.
