Job Description/Responsibilities
Join a team where you'll play a critical role in maintaining and improving the automation systems that keep our manufacturing operations running efficiently. As a Controls Technician, you'll troubleshoot and optimize PLCs, instrumentation, and electrical systems while partnering with cross-functional teams to improve reliability, safety, and product quality. This role offers the opportunity to lead technical improvements, mentor others, and make a measurable impact on plant performance.
Schedule: Monday-Thursday 7am-5pm with occasional overtime
What You'll Do
- Install, troubleshoot, maintain, and program plant controls systems, including PLCs, HMIs, DCS, VFDs, instrumentation, and electrical infrastructure.
- Diagnose equipment issues and implement solutions that improve reliability, efficiency, safety, and product quality.
- Provide technical guidance, training, and mentoring to technicians while supporting high-quality maintenance practices.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, ladder logic, and control system documentation to support maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications/Requirements
Required
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3+ years of hands-on electrical maintenance experience, including PLC programming, hardware, and equipment troubleshooting
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, high and low voltage experience, and interface with ladder logic.
Preferred
- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in relevant field
- Experience in the alcohol beverage, food and beverage, or consumer packaged goods (CPG) manufacturing industry.
- Rockwell Automation controls training or certification.
- Allen Bradley and Panasonic PLC Experience
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds without assistance.

The hourly range for this role is $38.56-$57.84.
