At GFL Environmental, we’re looking for a organized, detail-oriented Parts Administrator to keep our inventory running like a finely tuned machine. You will be the mastermind behind our day-to-day inventory control—tracking stock, managing purchase orders, and making sure our technicians have the right parts at the right time. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy solving puzzles, organizing chaos, and driving efficiency, we want you on our team!
Position Overview
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay Range: $20.00 – $26.00 / hour (commensurate with experience)
Key Responsibilities
Master the Inventory: Stay two steps ahead by managing our inventory control system to keep essential parts and equipment fully stocked, accounted for, and within budget.
Receive & Organize: Channel your inner organizational wizard—keep our inventory area systematically cataloged, clean, and physical stock easy to pinpoint at a moment's notice.
Audit & Reconcile: Keep us accurate by leading regular physical counts, cycle counts, and monthly, quarterly, and annual audits to ensure stock numbers match reality.
Vendor & Order Management: Build strong supplier connections, order parts through our internal systems, evaluate pricing, and secure the best quotes for upcoming projects.
Process & Expedite: Smoothly navigate repair orders, purchase orders, invoices, and warranty claims while quickly tackling any vendor discrepancies.
Keep Wheels Turning: Act as the ultimate problem solver by expediting critical parts to eliminate downtime and keep operations humming.
Safety & Compliance: Champions safety first by adhering to company standards, environmental regulations, energy savings programs, and shop safety guidelines.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education & Credentials: High School diploma or GED and a valid Driver’s License.
Experience: 2+ years of hands-on experience in inventory control or parts management.
Tech Savvy: Comfortable navigating Microsoft Office suite and inventory tracking software.
Problem Solver: Detail-oriented with strong decision-making skills and a knack for prioritizing when things get busy.
Team Player: A clear communicator with a strong work ethic, high integrity, and a proactive "get-it-done" attitude.
Physical Capability: Ready to move! Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 lbs, as well as sit, stand, walk, climb, and bend throughout the day in a dynamic shop environment.
Perks & Benefits
We believe in taking care of the people who keep our communities moving forward. As a full-time employee with GFL, you’ll enjoy:
Time to Recharge: 15 days of Paid Time Off (PTO) plus paid holidays.
Comprehensive Health Coverage: Medical, dental, and vision insurance options to keep you and your family covered.
Healthcare Flexibility: 4 medical plan options, including a Health Savings Account (HSA) with an employer contribution & match program.
