Our teams help manufacturers, processing facilities, healthcare organizations, educational institutions, municipalities, warehouses, and commercial businesses extend the life of their facilities through high-performance coating solutions.As a 100% Employee-Owned (ESOP) company, every eligible employee has the opportunity to become an owner and share in the success they help create.Position SummaryAs a Protective Coatings Applicator, you'll install specialized coating systems designed to protect steel, concrete, equipment, and industrial assets from corrosion, abrasion, chemicals, moisture, and environmental exposure. You'll work on a variety of commercial and industrial projects where precision, attention to detail, and safety are essential.This role is ideal for professionals who enjoy working with advanced coating systems and want to continue developing their technical skills while building a long-term career.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare steel, concrete, and other substrates through sanding, grinding, cleaning, pressure washing, and masking.Mix and apply protective coating systems according to manufacturer specifications.Apply epoxy, urethane, zinc-rich primers, elastomeric coatings, and other specialty coating systems.Operate airless spray equipment, conventional spray equipment, rollers, and brushes.Measure and maintain proper coating thickness and finish quality.Protect surrounding surfaces and maintain clean, organized work areas.Safely operate lifts, scaffolding, and access equipment.Follow OSHA regulations, project specifications, and company safety standards at all times.Inspect completed work to ensure exceptional quality and customer satisfaction.QualificationsExperience applying commercial or industrial protective coating systems preferred.Knowledge of epoxy, urethane, and specialty industrial coatings is highly desirable.Experience operating airless spray equipment.Strong understanding of surface preparation techniques.Ability to read product data sheets and follow application specifications.Comfortable working indoors, outdoors, and at varying heights.Must be clean shaven for respirator compliance when required.Reliable transportation.Smartphone required for timekeeping and company communication.Dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to workplace safety.Why Join Martin Painting & Coating?Our success is built on the dedication of our employees.
