Davidson is seeking a Systems Engineer Mission Analyst - Level 2 or 3 in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Position Overview:
The Systems Engineer Mission Analyst will support the Overhead Persistent InfraRed (OPIR) Organization. The selected candidate will help guide and advise Space-Based Infrared System (SBIRS) and Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) OPIR Architecture (BOA) analysis efforts in support of MDA Flight Tests and Integrated/Distributed Ground Tests.
Essential Functions:
- Analyses performed at all levels to include concept, design, scenario generation, test, installation, operation, maintenance, and post-test results.
- Selected candidate will maintain both hardware and software baseline documentation and contract requirements fulfillment.
Other Responsibilities Include:
- Technical analysis, system integration, verification and validation, and "supportability and effectiveness" analyses for total OPIR systems.
- Special focus on process automation to support the Ground Test Integrated Simulation System (GTISS) architecture, design, and implementation within the OPIR framework.
- Will define the next generation of Ground Testing and working with the latest technology to enable mission success.

Basic Qualifications:
- Systems Engineer - Level 2: Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline and 2 years of related work experience, or a Master's Degree and 0-2 years of related work experience.
- Principal Systems Engineer - Level 3: Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline and 5 years of related work experience, or a Master's Degree and 3 years of related work experience, or 1 year of related work experience with a PhD. in STEM.
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% of the time to support business needs.
- Documentation and requirements tracking experience.
- Basic knowledge of LINUX commands.
- Ability to maintain and follow documented processes and procedures.
- Strong communications skills, both verbal and written.
- Basic knowledge of MS Word and MS Excel.
- Ability to maintain documentation through the development lifecycle.
- Ability to work in a team-centric, multi-tasking environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBSE Experience with CAMEO.
- Project Management Experience.
- Scripting experience with MATLAB, Python, Perl.
- Working knowledge of OPIR systems.
Clearance Requirements:
- Must be eligible and able to receive and maintain a DoD-issued Secret security clearance
