About the role
This role involves leading a team of seasoned professionals in the field of embedded control software development and quality assurance. The primary responsibilities include project execution, policy implementation, risk identification, allocation of tasks and resources, providing mentorship and career growth opportunities for team members, and liaising with stakeholders. This position requires effective management skills and a strong understanding of software development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
· Collaborate with the HVAC Controls team to enhance product development capabilities, focusing on Embedded Controls design and development.
· Lead strategic initiatives such as New Product Development, systems engineering and innovation.
· Provide technical leadership in embedded control software Engineering and improve its effectiveness.
· Coordinate with global cross-functional teams and stakeholders to drive strategic initiatives across Centers of Excellence (CoEs) and business units.
· Manage team with a focus on policy and provide leadership & direction to achieve organizational goals & objectives.
· Mentor the team in software development for HVAC-R products
· Mentor the team in system-level product development for HVAC products.
· Design a career development program to building a skilled and motivated workforce.
· Develop and implement project work allocation and contractor performance to ensure quality.
· Provide technical leadership in embedded control software Engineering and improve its effectiveness.
· Be willing to travel between locations for business needs.
· Requires broad management and leadership knowledge to lead project teams.
· Prior experience managing the embedded V&V and Development teams
Requirements
Requires practical knowledge in leading and managing the execution of processes, projects and tactics within one work area.
Has broad knowledge and skills within a specific technical or professional discipline with understanding of the impact of work on other areas of the organization.
University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 5 years prior relevant experience
OR
Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 3 years experience
