Description
Your mission
Join us in solving one of industrial robotics' toughest challenges.
R3 Robotics is developing the AI-powered dismantling platform that transforms end-of-life electric vehicle systems into strategic sources of critical materials. As global electrification accelerates, the surge in batteries and e-motors requires automated solutions that manual disassembly cannot provide. We are addressing this industrial bottleneck by enabling the automated dismantling of complex systems at scale through computer vision, artificial intelligence, and specialized robotic tooling.
Following a successful €20M Series A funding round led by HG Ventures and Suma Capital, we are expanding across Europe and preparing for our entry into the United States market in 2026. We partner with major industrial recyclers and automotive OEMs to deliver measurable impact. If you seek to work on advanced robotics within a well-funded organization scaling internationally, this is your opportunity.
Your Role
You mechanically assemble and electrically install our automated disassembly machines — first at our Foetz build-up shop, then at the customer site — handing a fully built, ready-to-commission machine over to the Commissioning Team.
Your Responsibilities
- Mechanically assemble the machine from its components, following build instructions and drawings.
- Carry out the pneumatic and electrical installation, including cabling, panel wiring, and connection of sensors/actuators.
- Carrying out the I/O check as part of the handover to the commissioning team Support tear-down, packaging, and transport preparation ahead of shipment to the customer site.
- Rebuild and align the machine on site, working within the customer's facility constraints.
- Flag deviations from the standard build early, and feed lessons learned back into the build process.
- Work safely and compliantly on site, including with high-voltage and robotic equipment.
Your profile
- Completed vocational training or equivalent as a Mechatronics Technician, or combined Mechanical + Electrical qualification.
- Mid-level (medior) experience or above in machine assembly and electrical installation.
- Comfortable reading mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
- Willingness to travel to customer sites (~50%, per the team's build-up/site-work split).
- Structured, safety-conscious way of working; comfortable in an industrial/shopfloor environment.
- English working proficiency; German or French a plus depending on site.
