## About this Role

We are seeking a Frontend Software Developer to join our Infrastructure Engineering team within Software & Product Infrastructure. This role is responsible for designing, developing and maintaining modern, scalable and user-centric web applications using contemporary front-end frameworks, with a particular focus on React and Angular. The successful candidate will work across multiple applications built on different technology stacks, collaborating closely with designers, backend engineers, product teams and clients to deliver high-quality digital experiences.

In addition to software development responsibilities, the role provides technical consultancy and guidance to stakeholders, helping them make informed decisions regarding technologies, solution design and product roadmaps while ensuring high standards of usability, accessibility, performance and maintainability.

## What you’ll do

• Develop responsive, accessible and high-quality user interfaces using modern front-end frameworks, including React and Angular.

• Create clean, maintainable and efficient code that aligns with business requirements and design specifications.

• Work across multiple applications and adapt to different front-end frameworks, architectures and development standards.

• Collaborate with designers to transform wireframes and design concepts into engaging, user-friendly web experiences.

• Ensure consistent functionality and user experience across devices, browsers and screen sizes.

• Partner with backend developers to integrate front-end components with APIs and server-side services.

• Work closely with product managers and stakeholders to deliver solutions aligned with project objectives and timelines.

• Participate throughout the software development lifecycle, including planning, design, development, testing, deployment and maintenance.

• Conduct peer code reviews and support quality assurance activities to maintain development standards.

• Troubleshoot, debug and resolve technical issues efficiently.

• Implement front-end optimisation techniques, including lazy loading, caching and performance improvements.

• Promote engineering best practices including version control, continuous integration and code review processes.

• Create and maintain technical documentation, component libraries, development guides and user-facing documentation.

• Explore emerging technologies, frameworks and tools, sharing knowledge with colleagues to support innovation and continuous improvement.

• Provide technical consultancy to clients on technology choices, development methodologies and solution roadmaps.

• Build strong stakeholder relationships through proactive communication, problem solving and delivery excellence.

• Gather client feedback, provide project updates and support alignment between technical delivery and business objectives.

• Contribute to onboarding activities and knowledge-transfer sessions for new team members.

• Promote knowledge sharing through documentation, mentoring and collaborative working practices.

• Contribute to departmental initiatives, strategic projects, process improvements and cross-functional activities.

## Who you are

• Minimum 3 years of experience in front-end development using modern JavaScript frameworks.

• Proven hands-on experience working with both React and Angular in production environments.

• Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript.

• Experience working with front-end build tools and package management solutions.

• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL integrations.

• Strong understanding of responsive design, cross-browser compatibility and web accessibility principles.

• Experience with version control systems and software build tools.

• Knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies within collaborative delivery environments.

• Strong problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects within a fast-paced environment.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

• Experience with state management libraries would be beneficial.

• Knowledge of server-side rendering frameworks would be advantageous.

• Familiarity with front-end testing frameworks is desirable.

• Basic understanding of UI/UX principles and usability best practices.

• Experience with CSS preprocessors such as SASS or LESS, or CSS-in-JS approaches, would be beneficial.

• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure would be advantageous.
