Production Scheduler Clerk

Florence, KY

 

Compensation Includes

  • Starting Pay Rate of $24.40 - $34/hour - depending on experience

Overview

Responsible for creation of the daily production schedule to optimize customer service, inventory management and capacity utilization to support customer forecasts and sales orders. Updating production schedules on a daily and weekly basis is critical to the success of the plant.

 

Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble job packets and plates
  • Maintain Spec sheet files
  • Request special label printing as needed
  • Report As Finish (RAF) production work orders, analyzing all labor vs inventory variances and work with Production and Warehouse supervision to resolve discrepancies
  • Analize RAW materials inventory levels, and impending demands for Pallets, Cartons, and Film ETC
  • Created Purchase Orders for RAW materials, Pallets, Cartons, and Film ETC
  • Work with vendors, and senior Procurement for pricing, and cost management
  • Work closely with Master Scheduler to help monitor inventory levels and optimize manufacturing efficiencies
  • Modifies BOMs (Bills of Material) to consume available components contingent upon supply and to achieve facility inventory reduction measures as necessary
  • Identify and substitute Bill of Material (BOM) components as necessary to ensure completion of order on time
  • Identify and lead the implementation of any 2 process improvements, cost reductions or special projects per calendar year
  • Follow GMP in compliance with all food safety requirements
  • Follow all PPE policies, wearing steel toed shoes, hearing protection, safety glasses, hair nets/beard nets, etc. as required
  • Other miscellaneous duties as assigned by management

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Logistics preferred
  • 3+ years in a manufacturing environment utilizing a computerized MRP system or equivalent combination of experience and education required
  • SAP experience highly desired
  • APICS Certification preferred
  • Computer skills are needed, proficient in Word, Excel, AX or other ERP system
