Job Description Summary

GE HealthCare is seeking a Manufacturing Technician to support the processing of scintillator materials used in CT detector manufacturing, including furnace operations, product formation and densification, data collection, product sampling, analytical testing (Particle Size Analysis and ICP), and chemical handling of both liquid and solid materials. Beyond meeting daily production targets, you will play an active role in troubleshooting processes and collaborating with engineering teams to drive continuous improvement.

Job Description

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor calcine furnace, disk mill, and compactor equipment in the powder processing room to produce high-quality CT subassembly materials.
• Ensure strict compliance with Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) standards, including consistent use of PPE, maintaining clean/organized work areas, and reporting hazards promptly.
• Follow GE HealthCare’s Quality Management System and operational processes to deliver defect-free material, maintaining accurate and timely production and recordkeeping.
• Achieve production delivery targets by monitoring daily output, escalating issues promptly, and ensuring products are delivered on time to support customer needs.
• Minimize scrap and equipment downtime by following proper operating procedures, escalating process issues, and contributing to cost-efficient manufacturing.
• Foster a culture of respect, collaboration, and continuous improvement by treating colleagues fairly, suggesting process enhancements, and actively supporting a safe, positive work environment.

Requirements

• Associates degree (or local equivalent 2 year degree), or a High School diploma (or local equivalent) and 2 or more years technical experience
• Proficiency to understand and interpret basic written technical information
• Demonstrated ability to work well with limited direction and information

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering or Technology related fields
• Prior experience in Chemical manufacturing
