We are seeking a talented individual to join our M&A Advisory team at Marsh People & Investments. This role will be based in London. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

 

• Marsh People & Investments M&A Advisory team helps our Corporate and Private Equity clients make human capital count in mergers, acquisitions, carve-outs, restructurings, and joint ventures. As a Manager, you will support and deliver people-focused advisory work across the deal lifecycle; from due diligence and Day 1 planning through post-close integration and long-term value creation.

• You will work with clients and internal stakeholders to assess human capital risks and opportunities, shape integration priorities, and help ensure business continuity, talent retention, and effective change adoption.

• This role is well suited to someone who combines analytical thinking, commercial awareness, and strong project delivery skills with an interest in the people side of transactions.

 

We will count on you to:

• Support delivery of M&A Advisory assignments across the transaction lifecycle, including: human capital due diligence, Day 1 readiness and business continuity planning, Post-close integration and value creation
• Analyse organisational, talent, rewards, culture, and HR operating model issues arising from transactions
• Contribute to the development of client deliverables, presentations, reports, and recommendations
• Help identify key people risks and value levers linked to the deal thesis
• Work with Principal consultants and client teams to coordinate workstreams and track project milestones
• Assist in the design of integration plans, retention strategies, communications, and change activities
• Gather, synthesize, and interpret data to inform client recommendations
• Support the preparation of proposals, pitch materials, and internal knowledge sharing
• Build strong working relationships with clients and colleagues across the Marsh businesses
• Maintain high standards of quality, confidentiality, and professional judgment
• Take ownership of defined workstreams and deliverables, manage priorities independently with appropriate supervision, contribute to client conversations and workshops, produce clear, structured analysis and recommendations
• Support business development efforts, develop trusted relationships with clients and colleagues
• Begin to mentor junior colleagues where appropriate
• Deliver accurate, insightful, and timely work across multiple M&A engagements, helping clients make informed decisions on the human capital aspects of deals and build credibility as a trusted advisor on people-related transaction issues
• Contribute to effective Day 1 execution and smoother integration outcomes
• Develop into a well-rounded M&A advisory consultant with strong commercial and client skills

 

What you need to have: 

• Significant experience in consulting, HR advisory, transaction services, organisational change, or a related people-focused advisory role.
• Strong interest in mergers, acquisitions, and transformation
• Ability to analyse information quickly, identify key issues, and turn findings into practical recommendations
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with confidence engaging with clients and senior stakeholders
• Excellent project management and organisational skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Collaborative mindset and willingness to contribute across multiple workstreams
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality output

• Experience supporting M&A, integration, carve-out, transformation, or large-scale change projects
• Understanding of human capital topics such as organisation design, talent retention, rewards, culture, change management, and HR operating models
• Commercial awareness and appreciation of how people decisions affect deal value
• Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, and data analysis
• Experience working in a professional services or client-facing environment
