As our next Assistant Sweeping & Portering Manager, you will support the Sweeping & Portering Manager

in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our sweeping and portering teams. This role requires a self-

motivated and detail-oriented leader who can help manage daily operations while working toward the

team's long-term goals. The successful candidate will have strong leadership skills and work well in a team

environment.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Assists the Sweeping & Portering Manager in overseeing the day-to-day workflow
Helps create employee schedules across all locations
Auditing routes
Assists with performance evaluations that are timely and constructive, providing recommendations for

promotion and salary adjustment as appropriate

Collaborates with the team to set performance standards
Helps conduct regular staff meetings to ensure that goals and objectives are clearly communicated;

provides guidance and leadership to enable staff to meet these goals and objectives

Identifies training needs and opportunities; assists in developing and implementing a plan for meeting

those needs

Maintains and develops positive relationships with existing clients, demonstrating excellent customer

service and setting an example for other staff

Required Skills/Abilities:

Excellent leadership and management skills
2+ years of experience required
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to prioritize tasks, delegating when appropriate
Proficient with Google Suite or related software
Active driver license and clean driving record
Availability to work varying hours as needed, including day and overnight shifts
Ability to work on ladders/roofs and near retention ponds
Ability to lift 100 lbs or more
Willingness to work outside in all kinds of weather and come in contact with trash

This position is perfect with a range of backgrounds such as; General manager, Fleet manager, Construction

manager, Sweeping manager ex. experience is a plus.
