THE ROLE
Cornbread Hemp is seeking a highly organized, analytical, and creative Email Marketing Manager to own the execution and optimization of our email marketing program.
This role will manage email campaigns and automated flows across the entire customer lifecycle—from welcome and first purchase through repeat purchase, subscription, and winback. You'll work closely with the CMO, Creative Director, Ecommerce, and Growth teams to drive revenue, engagement, and customer lifetime value.
We're looking for someone who can do more than send emails. You should be able to identify opportunities, build and test campaigns and flows, analyze performance, and continuously improve how we communicate with our customers.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
Email Campaigns & Calendar
- Own the day-to-day email marketing calendar and execution of promotional, product, educational, and seasonal campaigns.
- Develop campaign briefs and partner with Creative on messaging, copy, and design.
- Manage campaign segmentation, scheduling, QA, and deployment.
- Coordinate email communications around promotions, product launches, and key ecommerce initiatives.
Lifecycle & Automated Flows
- Own, build, and continuously optimize all automated email flows in Klaviyo.
- Manage key journeys including welcome, abandonment, post-purchase, cross-sell, replenishment, winback, and reactivation.
- Identify gaps in the customer lifecycle and develop new automated journeys to improve repeat purchase and lifetime value.
- Regular audit flows for performance, accuracy, and optimization opportunities.
Subscription Communications
- Own email communications across the subscriber lifecycle, including onboarding, education, upcoming orders, retention, and churn prevention.
- Test messaging, offers, and communication strategies that improve subscriber retention and lifetime value.
Segmentation, Testing & Optimization
- Build customer segments based on purchase behavior, engagement, subscription status, product preferences, and lifecycle stage.
- Develop and execute an ongoing A/B testing roadmap across subject lines, creative, offers, messaging, cadence, and audiences.
- Identify opportunities for greater personalization and more relevant customer communications.
Analytics & Reporting
- Monitor email performance including revenue, revenue per recipient, conversion, engagement, unsubscribe rates, deliverability, and flow performance.
- Analyze results and translate insights into actionable improvements.
- Provide regular reporting and recommendations to the Director of Retention.
Website Popups & Conversion
- Own the strategy and optimization of website popups, banners, overlays, and other onsite conversion tools.
- Develop acquisition, promotional, subscription, and exit-intent experiences that increase conversion and customer value.
- Continuously test messaging, offers, creative, timing, targeting, and placement to improve performance.
- Monitor popup performance and identify opportunities to improve conversion, email/SMS acquisition, and revenue.
Email Acquisition
- Own the strategy for growing Cornbread Hemp's email and SMS subscriber base.
- Develop and optimize acquisition programs across the website, paid media, promotions, partnerships, and other customer touchpoints.
- Build strategies to improve opt-in rates, list growth, subscriber quality, and downstream customer value.
- Test acquisition offers, messaging, creative forms, landing pages, and incentives to continually improve performance.
SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
- Email revenue and engagement consistently grow.
- Automated flows become an increasingly important driver of repeat purchase and customer lifetime value.
- Subscription communications contribute to improved retention and reduced churn.
- Campaigns are executed accurately, on time, and with strong attention to detail.
- A consistent testing program produces measurable improvements in performance.
- Customers receive increasingly relevant and personalized communications.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of email, lifecycle, retention, or ecommerce marketing experience.
- Strong experience with Klaviyo and Shopify required.
- Experience building and optimizing automated email flows.
- Strong understanding of segmentation, personalization, A/B testing, and email deliverability.
- Experience with subscription-based ecommerce businesses strongly preferred.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to translate data into action.
- Excellent project management, communication, and attention to detail.
- Experience with Recharge, Skio, Rebuy, or similar ecommerce tools is a plus.
- Experience in CPG, wellness, food & beverage, supplements, or hemp/cannabis is a plus.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
Compensation: $90-$110K
Cornbread Hemp offers a full benefits package, including:

- Paid time off in accordance with Company policy.
- $75 per month employee stipend for Cornbread Hemp products and 50% off Cornbread Hemp website
