Job Description

As a Security Officer Screening Courthouse in Paso Robles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Screener at a government courthouse location, you will help maintain a welcoming, orderly environment by screening visitors and belongings, monitoring access points, and responding to security-related concerns. You will provide clear communication and exceptional customer service while helping to deter incidents. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to court visitors, employees, and judicial staff while carrying out site-specific procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities.
• Screen visitors and their belongings using designated screening equipment and procedures; verify authorized access and direct individuals to appropriate court locations.
• Observe entry points and screening areas for prohibited items, suspicious activity, and policy violations, and report concerns through established channels.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with court personnel and emergency responders as appropriate.
• Maintain accurate logs and documentation related to visitor screening, incidents, and security-related activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
