Parts Preparer – 2nd Shift

Job Summary

Nidec Minster Corporation, the largest manufacturer of material forming presses in the United States, has an opening for a full-time Parts Preparer. This role is essential for our manufacturing operation. This entry-level role will primarily be deburring parts and provide exposure to our machining and assembly processes.

Job Responsibilities

• Intricate deburring, sanding, grinding and cleaning of various parts.
• Regularly using pistol grinders and die grinders.
• Entering data into computer system.
• Examine and inspect parts for wear and defects.
• Cleaning of machinery.
• Overhead crane operation.
• Operate a forklift to move parts and materials between operations.
• Read, understand, and execute detailed work instructions and blueprints.
• Maintains condition of work area (i.e. free of trash, product in correct location, etc.).
• Follows company safety policies and procedures and encourages other associates to do the same.
• Additional job duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment.
• Must have a mechanical aptitude
• Must be detail oriented with good organizational skills.
• Moderate physical effort (lift/carry up to 40 lbs). Frequent lifting, pushing of supplies and equipment.
• Prolonged standing, walking, reaching, stooping, bending and kneeling.
• Must be able to ready and follow work instructions.
• Must be able to work independently and follow instructions regarding priorities of tasks or functions.
• A positive attitude and safety minded work ethic.
