Job Description:

The WL Field Service Specialist is responsible for maintaining safe, efficient, and reliable service delivery to customer. The position is not limited to Wireline advanced evaluation services e.g downhole formation pressure and sampling tools, borehole seismic and sidewall coring tools.

The position reports to the Product and Service Delivery Manager.

Successful position holders are excellent communicators, enjoy solving problems, and work well in teams. He/She needs to have self-drive, initiatives and adapt to adverse situations.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Maintain, prepare and operate wireline downhole tools, not limited to modular dynamic tester, coring downhole tools, seismic surface equipment and downhole tools
  • Operates winch unit inside logging unit, ensuring depth control and safety control
  • Prepares equipment at wellsite
  • Assist Engineer in maintenance checks of tools and equipment
  • Participates in inspecting, maintaining and repairing primary tools, service units and associated equipment
  • Ensure job deliverables are accurate and delivered on time.
  • Responsible for service delivery execution.
  • Participate in job risk analysis and continual improvement programs.
  • Develop customer contacts to promote company products and services.
  • Ensure company and regulatory standard compliance by implementing the CAT, self-assessments, and wellsite inspections.
  • Participate in Service Quality Meetings with customers and improve performance using action plans.
  • Participate in HSE and Quality initiatives.
  • Wear PPE and observe HSE policies.
  • Maintain the required safety training.

Additional Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Supervise operations at the wellsite and provide technical support for downhole and surface equipment
  • Work with Remote Operations Engineer to ensure log data quality and depth control are maintained
  • Perform Rig Up and Rig Down in coordination with the Client representative and Drilling Contractor.
  • Perform Service according to the job program and according to the agreed risk assessment.
  • Responsible for the application and utilization of the relevant business systems.

Educational Qualifications and Experience

Education: Technical degree in Engineering or relevant studies
