Position Summary: The Business Development Manager will support the Business Development team and scale coverage for service providers, fintechs, and general new non-bank inquiries.
This role owns the operating discipline behind the coverage model, including new inquiry decisioning, service provider outreach programs, campaign follow-up, event follow-up, CRM discipline, reporting, account materials, market intelligence and AI-enabled workflows.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
• Manage new inquiries from service providers, fintechs and other ecosystem participants.
• Maintain the scaled coverage model for bank and credit union service providers.
• Track which accounts need proactive attention, periodic check-ins, campaign follow-up, reactivation, or light monitoring.
• Build and maintain service provider outreach programs, TPSP campaigns, target lists and follow-up plans.
• Coordinate service provider follow-ups with clear owners and next steps.
• Ownership of business development activity partnering with Marketing and Product on education and campaign execution.
• Track competitor activity, market data, client feedback and recurring themes.
• Use CRM and AI tools to improve research, updates and market intelligence.
Qualifications Required:
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Technology, Marketing, Communications, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in financial services and payments.
• 5+ years of experience in business development, customer success, growth operations, product marketing, consulting or market-facing program execution.
• Knowledge of the U.S. payments ecosystem, including banks, credit unions, service providers, fintechs, processors, corporates and financial institution technology partners.
• Demonstrated ability to translate business priorities into targeted client activity and actionable business recommendations.
• Technology literacy, including familiarity with APIs, ISO 20022 concepts, payment network connectivity, fintech platforms, payment hubs, cloud-based tools or similar payment technology environments.
• Strong writing, presentation, research and project execution skills, with ability to create clear client-facing and internal materials.
• Experience using CRM platforms to manage partner activity and account plans.
• Comfort using approved AI and digital productivity tools to improve account research, meeting preparation, market intelligence, and content development.
Qualifications Desired:
• Knowledge of real-time payments, RTP use cases, service provider enablement, FI readiness and corporate or platform payment needs.
• Experience working with Product, Marketing or Commercialization teams on go-to-market initiatives.
• Experience supporting industry events, webinars, customer advisory sessions or partner engagement programs.
• Familiarity with competitor analysis, market research and customer feedback programs.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
The working environment is generally favorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available. Travel may be required. Candidates will report to the office three days each week. Onsite work requirements may change at any time.
The anticipated annual salary range for NY-based candidates for this position is $120,000-$150,000. Base salary and position level will be determined by the role, experience, skill set and location. For eligible positions, discretionary incentive compensation may be awarded contingent on personal and company performance.
