Job Description
The Technology Trainer designs and delivers technology training for attorneys and legal staff, supporting firmwide software rollouts and building learning materials that help end users work efficiently with the firm's technology platforms.Primary Responsibilities and/or Essential functions:
- Design, develop, and deliver technology training programs for attorneys and legal support staff, including instructor-led (in-person/virtual) and self-paced e-learning content
- Support firmwide rollouts of new legal technology platforms (e.g., document management, e-billing, Copilot/AI tools, practice management systems)
- Create job aids, quick reference guides, videos, and other learning materials
- Partner with IS (Information Systems), Knowledge Management, and practice groups to identify training needs and close skill gaps
- Track training attendance, completion, and effectiveness; report metrics to leadership
- Provide floor support and one-on-one coaching following major rollouts or upgrades
- Stay current on emerging legal technology and AI tools to keep curriculum relevant
- Assist with new hire technology onboarding
- Any additional responsibilities as required by management
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- 3+ years in technology training, preferably in a law firm or professional services environment
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Copilot), Claude, Chat GPT and common legal applications (iManage, Intapp, Litera, etc.)
- Excellent presentation, facilitation, and public speaking skills
- Strong instructional design skills ADDIE ( Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) or similar framework
- Ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical, time-constrained attorney audiences
- Proficient with e-learning authoring tools and LMS platforms, - Camtasia etc…
- Strong written communication skills for job aids and documentation
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects/rollouts under deadline pressure
Education/Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
Estimated salary range is $105,000 - $120,000. This position is bonus eligible. Compensation decisions within the range are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case including but not limited to the individual's skills, experience, and qualifications.
