PRN Direct Support Professional (DSP) - 12-Hour Shifts
Starting Wage: $17.00 per hour
Schedule: PRN (As Needed) | 12-Hour Shift Model
One Vision is seeking PRN (As Needed) Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join our team and support our 12-hour shift schedule model.
PRN Direct Support Professionals provide important staffing support by picking up available shifts based on organizational needs. This flexible opportunity is a great fit for individuals looking to make a meaningful impact while maintaining flexibility in their schedule.
PRN Scheduling Requirements
To remain active and eligible as a PRN team member, employees are required to:
- Work a minimum of 24 direct support ("floor") hours per month.
- Complete and remain current on all required and mandatory trainings.
- Complete required in-person trainings, including Mandt, CPR, recertifications, and other applicable training, outside of the required 24 monthly floor hours.
- Work a minimum of 8 hours per month during a weekend shift, defined as 12:00 a.m. Saturday through 11:59 p.m. Sunday. These hours count toward the required 24 monthly floor hours.
- Work a minimum of two (2) company holidays per calendar year.
What You'll Do
As a Direct Support Professional, you play an important role in helping individuals with disabilities build independence, achieve personal goals, and participate meaningfully in their communities.
In this role, you will:
- Support individuals with daily living activities such as housekeeping, laundry, meal preparation, and personal hygiene.
- Assist individuals with the self-administration of medications according to established procedures.
- Learn each individual's unique abilities, preferences, interests, goals, and support needs.
- Encourage independence by helping individuals make choices and build skills.
- Support community engagement by providing transportation to appointments, activities, shopping, and other community experiences.
- Assist individuals with grocery shopping, budgeting, and other financial-related daily living activities.
- Build positive, respectful relationships with the individuals you support, their teams, and others in the community.
- Complete required documentation accurately and in a timely.

Requirements
- No previous direct support experience required. One Vision provides the training needed to be successful in the role.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Basic computer skills necessary to complete required documentation.
- Current driver's license and proof of insurance required.
- Ability to perform physical activities associated with the role, including bending, kneeling, and stooping.
- Ability to assist with lifting or use mechanical lifts when required to support an individual's needs.
- Employment is contingent upon successful completion of required background checks, drug screening, and a physical assessment demonstrating the ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
