The School of Medicine is seeking a high-calibre individual who excels in a dynamic, fast-paced, and multi-tasking environment to support the development, implementation, and delivery of the School’s medical curriculum as a Manager (Curriculum Development & Delivery). The appointee will be responsible for the design, coordination of teaching operations and continuous curriculum enhancement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development, implementation, and periodic review of the School’s MBBS program to ensure alignment with program objectives, teaching strategy, and quality assurance, and compliance with accreditation standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Coordinate the planning and delivery of teaching activities, including timetabling, course logistics, classroom arrangements, and communication with faculty and related administrative units
  • Work closely with course leads/coordinators, faculty members, and internal stakeholders to facilitate smooth curriculum execution, monitor teaching schedules, and address operational issues in a timely manner
  • Assist in the administration of curriculum-related documentation, records, reports, and approval processes, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with University policies and local regulatory (MCHK) requirements
  • Support quality assurance and enhancement initiatives by collecting feedback, analyzing curriculum delivery issues, and contributing to recommendations for improvement
  • Liaise with relevant internal and external parties as needed to support the effective delivery and continuous development of the School’s MBBS program
  • Undertake other duties as assigned in support of the School’s academic planning and program operations
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff where appropriate, foster a collaborative and innovative work environment in pursuit of achieving the School’s and University’s goals
  • Perform any other duties as assigned

Entry Requirements

  • A recognized bachelor’s degree
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant post-qualification work experience in curriculum development, program administration, teaching and learning support, or a related role in a tertiary institution or sizeable organization. Ideal applicants should possess good knowledge of, and experience in, curriculum development, teaching delivery, and academic administration related to medicine or a healthcare-related discipline in a higher education setting
  • Strong team player with a proactive attitude and a sense of ownership and accountability
  • Excellent problem-solving, interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills are essential
  • A high level of attention to detail, the ability to multitask, work independently and collaborate effectively, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines are required
  • Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese, including Cantonese and Putonghua, is necessary
  • Relevant computer application and IT skills are expected

Work outside normal office hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, may occasionally be required.

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided.  A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of a 2-year contract. Renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
