Role Summary
The Director, End-to-End Supply Chain is accountable for the global strategy, governance, and performance of the end-to-end supply chain – from demand planning through sourcing, manufacturing, and delivery. This role defines and drives a supply chain strategy aligned with business objectives, ensuring service excellence, cost competitiveness, and optimal working capital. The Director operates cross-functionally at the leadership level to enable enterprise decision-making and deliver measurable business impact. Key success factors include strategic thinking, operational excellence, customer focus, financial acumen, and the ability to influence cross-functional decisions to deliver sustainable business results.
The role is based in Switzerland, located at either our Schaffhausen or Geneva site, and reports to the VP, Supply Chain.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute the end-to-end supply chain strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Lead demand and supply planning processes to ensure service, capacity, and supply continuity.
- Drive inventory optimization and working capital improvement while protecting customer service.
- Optimize manufacturing networks, asset utilization, and operational performance.
- Improve logistics and distribution efficiency while ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Establish governance, performance metrics, and accountability across the supply chain organization.
- Lead digital transformation, advanced planning, and process standardization initiatives.
- Manage supply chain contribution to profitability, cost performance, and working capital.
- Balance customer, market, and business requirements through risk management and scenario planning.
Required Experience & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- 15+ years of experience in supply chain, operations, or planning roles within a regulated environment, preferably from the Chemical Manufacturing, Agrochemical (AgChem), or Crop Protection industries.
- Proven leadership experience managing an end-to-end supply chain within a global, matrix organization.
- Demonstrated track record of leading large-scale network design and supply chain optimization initiatives.
- Strong financial acumen with a demonstrable direct impact on P&L and working capital.
- Advanced analytical capabilities, including scenario modeling and data-driven decision-making.
- Strong executive presence and the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
- Deep understanding of, and experience with, complex regulatory and compliance environments.
- Professional certifications such as APICS (CPIM/CSCP), PMP, or Lean Six Sigma are highly desirable.
